Having now used and tested (not by hire or gifted) this product for a solid month, my respect to Dan's for a superior hip wader. The real test was seven days of high arctic terrain, 10 - 12 hours of daily wear trekking on sponge tundra, gravel, rocks and portages of fast moving water dragging 16 foot boats and packing caribou over a mile. One boot did cause me to almost heel blister. There was issue which I was able to find a fix on day three. (up sized my foot insert and duck tape my sock). Walking and packing continued for four more days without issue or injury to me. Upon my return home I contacted Dan's to discuss my issue with my boots as the other boot had started the same malfunction but causing no problem. Dan's without seeing the boot fault quickly were forth coming with a replace pair. Thank you Kevin. Which I now have in the same boot as requested by me. I normally wear a Muck boot and they offered to replace my Frogger's with one, but I feel that the Dan's boot is a very good boot and only the extreme use that I gave the first set and my known resolve, this second pair will last. I have used my hip waders not less than 3 times a weeks since August, it's now October, mostly for loading my boats. Come this early ice fishing season and late ice season I can see myself using my Dan's Frogger Boot. They do size very much like a Muck Boot.

Finally after so much searching for a top end hip wader I found Dan's. I knew from the reviews that I was going to receive a product of Quality. The real review will come in just over a month, after my high arctic adventure. Lots of walking on tundra, stream crossing etc. If these are better than my former Red Ball Masters, which I believe they will be, you hear more positive remarks.

This boots and chaps combo is fantastic! Dan's boots are sized similar to Muck boots. I tried on some Mucks at a local store to know my size. They are great for any job when you need your feet to stay dry. I recently shoveled slush from my driveway in them. Tonight I wore them in a muddy field coyote hunting. Tuck your pants legs into your socks. Cabelas makes an over-the-knee wool sock that I'll probably purchase next.

Tired of leaking cheap canvas multi-ply Hippers so decided to drop the $$$ on a set of Dan's with Muck boots 2 years ago. Started wearing them on Duck hunts ~ 35 times / year over the last 2 seasons and not a single leak. They are tough, handle sharp Beaver Pond sticks & Marsh terrain no problem. Mine are dark Brown uppers. Wish I had bought tan uppers to blend in better, and also wish I bought 12's instead of my street shoe size 11 'cuz they can be a bear to get my foot in with heavy socks... Worth every dime otherwise...
