    Fit and buttons

I wear 3x shirt and I bought 4x shirt and it’s still a little snug. Also couple buttons didn’t function properly but fixed them to make them work. Jacket does protect against briars, but shirt needs to be better made.

    Briarproof Shirt

The shirt is GREAT I am clearing briars from 8 acres of woods. I can easily walk right through the briars with no problems. I had a couple hundred thorns stuck in the sleeves and back and I didn't even know it until I took the shirt off. This is the best protection you can get. I highly recommend this shirt.

    Beats the briars, but….

Posted by Jeff Main on 20th Feb 2017

Bought this to wear while clearing fence rows filled with briars, thorny locust trees, osage orange (hedge apple), wild roses - you get the picture. About the nastiest work environment for all sorts of punctures. The shirt (over a set of 1000 denier bibs) works great if you do your part and don't just jump into the mix. As other reviews have said, the shirt is a bit hot! (But then I'm warm blooded and working pretty hard too.) Mesh lined but doesn't breathe too well. Probably would be great in the winter but above @40 degrees and you'll be sweating. If left unbuttoned to breathe/cool off the briars snag the mesh lining. I'm 6 foot tall, 48 inch chest so ordered size XL. Plenty of room in the chest/shoulders. The sleeves (I take a 34 inch long sleeve shirt) are way long (at least 2-3"). Snap buttons at the wrist help somewhat but I ended up rolling the sleeves under. For beating the briars - 5 stars plus. Works as advertised! Knocked off one for the sleeves and heat. Dan's will custom make one to your specs if off the rack isn't good enough. Good product.

    perfect for early season

Posted by Unknown on 19th Oct 2016

Out for rabbits in 83 degree weather yesterday and it held up great. I also run a beagle so it is handy for extra room for things. Purchased a size bigger so i can put some layering underneath on them warm rifle deer season days in Pennsylvania when we are driving deer on the side of the mountain.
